Reporting to the Vice President, Supply and Logistics, this position is responsible for supporting the supply function and ensuring the supply for North American Wholesale and internal Retail customers. This role supports existing customer/supplier relationships and new customer/supplier business within the business group, to identify the most economical supply locations to secure propane that best suits the needs of the division. In addition to supporting the supply, they are responsible for analyzing and managing the monthly supply positions to ensure availability of adequate supply.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data specific to propane products to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on propane supply chain performance, including key metrics and KPIs, to the Vice President and other stakeholders.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain supply chain forecasts for propane to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the propane supply chain and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Supplier Management: Assist in evaluating propane supplier performance and developing strategies to improve supplier relationships and performance.
- Risk Management: Monitor and assess risks specific to the propane supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment and coordination across the propane supply chain.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage available tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities the division.
- Frequent contact with producers and operators to ensure forecasted production is in line with contracted expectation.
- Work closely with NA Wholesale Schedulers (truck and rail) for product takeaway.
