Description:

The Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining, debugging, and supporting applications and systems in a high-paced technical environment. This role requires expertise in programming, scripting, database management, and system troubleshooting, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently. Based in Burbank, CA, this position operates onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm PST.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript (NodeJS, React), Java, .Net, SQL, MongoDB, APIs, and messaging services.
  • Proven expertise in debugging and supporting applications using JavaScript, Java, SQL, and MongoDB, along with knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Ruby.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-, Windows-, and Cloud-based platforms.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols, fast file-moving technologies (Aspera and Signiant), and cloud storage solutions like AWS S3.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain and document systems for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid understanding of deployment tools and processes (e.g., Docker).
  • Basic knowledge of information security principles.
  • Familiarity with asset management and transport system functionality.
  • Ability to multitask and context-switch effectively.
  • Strong decision-making skills even with incomplete or conflicting information.
  • Highly self-directed and capable of managing multiple, concurrent tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

    The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.36/hour - $55.56/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
