Description:

SUPPORT LEAD

  • Forklift license essential
  • 6pm starts

You might recognise this role as a Charge Hand - the roles are very similar. Day to day, you are there to support our high performing processing team who are responsible for parcel sorting at our Syd Bradley Road Processing Centre.
You’ll engage and support the team by communicating and setting objectives. The Support Lead is also responsible for ensuring NZ Post’s parcel and mail product is processed in a timely and efficient manner - this includes meeting consistently high service standards through effective management of parcel flow and continuous improvement. You’ll also manage the accurate and timely capture of data ensuring all systems are updated as per operational requirements.
Reporting to (and acting as, in their absence, a 2IC) to the Floor Manager, you’ll provide support in leading the team in accordance with NZ Post’s values and vision as well as managing resources within the operational needs and budget for the Processing area.
You will need to be the type of person who takes a hands-on approach, demonstrating a commitment to safety and fostering a high performing, positive team culture. You might be in a similar role and considering a change, or you may have been told that you are ready and able to step up into a supervisory position.

What we need from you:
