Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Support Medical Secretary within the Acute Medicine Department in Princess of Wales Hospital.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Acute Medicine team.
The post holder will be expected to liaise in a professional manner with
colleagues, visitors and patients and undertake a wide spectrum of administrative and secretarial duties.
The post holder will be expected to manage and prioritise their own workload using experience and initiative.

Provide a comprehensive and high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Acute Medicine team.
Typing consultant clinic and result letters using the audio dictation module.
Answering the telephone, dealing with patient, relatives and colleagues queries.
Identify anything urgent and prioritise workload accordingly.
