About the role
The Support officer – Emergency Services contributes to our strategic impact of supporting communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. This role will support the Ready Together program by ensuring operational support for the planning, design, development and overall project coordination of resources and workshops.
This role works at a state level, with guidance from senior officers to support the analysis, interpretation, design, development, review and evaluation of work practices, policies and procedures that support the delivery of Ready Together and promote the importance of preparedness and resilience measures within communities.
What you will bring
- Knowledge and understanding of the development and implementation of project plans with the ability to undertake project related tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills ensuring effective records management that allow the efficient collection and recording of project data and critical decision to support consistent high quality reporting data and analysis.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to ensure project compliance with Red Cross policies and relevant legislation for effective program delivery.
- Ability to provide administrative and logistical support as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience of working with volunteers and community members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, plan and organise your work with support from senior officers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
