About Us Tree Tops will provide a continuum of care to children and young adults with disabilities and the children’s homes within the campus will offer both short breaks and residential placements to children and young people who have a physical and/or learning disability, including those with a complex health need and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Working at Tree Tops will give you the opportunity to be part of a team helping shape and develop our children’s homes and local short break offer.
The role We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated support officers to support our care officers, within our short breaks children’s home, based at Tree Tops. We are looking for resilient, creative and versatile individuals who will be prepared to work flexibly on a rota that includes every other weekend and bank holidays, which attract salary enhancements. Applicants are required to have some knowledge of disabilities and be able to support children and young people with their personal, social, emotional, physical and health care needs. Applicants will assist in the design of innovative and creative play opportunities in order to maximise opportunities for disabled children and young people to achieve their potential.
You must have a good general education and be willing and able to undertake relevant training. You will be supported to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, which is a requirement of the job role, unless an equivalent qualification has already been achieved. Why work with us?
