JOB SUMMARY:

The Support Services Representative I will utilize general office equipment to communicate with other departments, clients and debtors, build reports, and analyze accounts for proper handling within federal, state and client collection guidelines and laws.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A high school diploma and two to six months relevant experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, collections, or a related role is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette is preferred.
  • Prior PC and keyboard knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Utilize various client sites to request and retrieve data
  • Utilize FMS collection software to review accounts for proper handling
  • Accurately document account notes, account disposition, and secondary data fields to ensure accurate reporting and maintaining of account activity
  • Adhere to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, HIPAA, and all other relevant federal and state laws.
  • Performs other office related duties as assigned.
