The world’s leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. While customers love our technology, it’s our people that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination and why we’ve won so many awards as a best place to work. If you become a Splunker, we want your whole, authentic self, what we call your “million data points”. • Familiarity with AWS Data Center instances
  • Excellent communication skills and a history of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Your audience for the internal tool is your fellow Splunkers!
  • Operational excellence: you think beyond feature delivery into how your code and systems are serving customers in production.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Splunk Architect Certification
  • Splunk Fundamentals Certification(s)
  • Adept debugging and problem solving skills including the use of associated tools.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A constant stream of new things to learn. You’ll learn how our whole stack works, from service deployments to operational execution in the wild. We’re also always expanding into new areas like bringing in open source projects and contributing back, exploring new technologies, and seeking new ways to make our ecosystem more developer-friendly.
  • Impact. We give our engineers an environment in which they can contribute from day one while also providing opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Growth and mentorship. We believe in growing engineers through ownership and leadership opportunities. We also believe mentors help both sides of the equation.
  • A stable, collaborative and supportive work environment. We are remote friendly and flexible. You can choose to work from a Splunk location or you can be in any US time zone and work with the rest of the team around the globe.
  • Work-life balance. We don’t expect people to work 12-hour days. We want you to have a successful time outside of work too. We trust our colleagues to be responsible with their time and commitment, and believe that balance helps cultivate an outstanding environment.

ROLE SUMMARY

As a member of the Splunk Support Operations Team, you will be helping to build and maintain systems that allow us to better serve our customers. Our systems availability and correctness are paramount to operations for our internal users.
We’re looking for a Support Software Engineer to help us maintain existing support owned tools in addition to helping us think outside the box when it comes to innovation. This role empowers you to be a catalyst for positive change, driving innovation and improvement across the Support organization. Your ability to ideate, build consensus, and effectively roll out changes will be pivotal in improving troubleshooting time for technical support engineers, and ultimately for the Splunk customer experience.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

Our operations team maintains an internal tool that allows technical support engineers to effectively troubleshoot. You’ll be responsible for evaluating new opportunities to advance the services capabilities based on feedback and our ever-growing platform of services, ensure a user friendly experience for our engineering and development teams, integrate with our internal on-premise and cloud utilities and develop on a leading edge suite of products and services.
As a member of the operations team, you’ll also get to work with engineers and developers all across our organization, allowing you access to services and features that could be used for further development, as well as provide feedback ahead of core launches.
