THE FOLLOWING ARE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

1. Relevant experience in individualised ways of working, through a rights-based lens
2. Experience of supporting a person with an intellectual disability and sensory impairment.
3. Ability to discover the individual’s abilities and interests in order to support her develop and sustain positive social valued roles within her community.
4. Ability to offer supports in a creative, innovative, flexible and person-centred way.
5. Support the creation of new opportunities with this lady through an ongoing discovery process.
6. To have excellent interpersonal, listening, planning and organisational skills.
7. The ability to partner and liaise effectively with others.
8. A willingness to be flexible with working hours, based on the lady’s support requirements.
9. The support requirements will include all activities of daily and domestic support within her home.

1. Supporting a lady within her home with all activities of daily living.
2. Supporting this lady with social outings and life activities.
3. Motivated to enhance her quality of life.
4. Working in partnership with her and family.
