Support Worker - Orewa (Korean speaking)

• Location: Lakeside Drive, Orewa
• $23.15 - $28.25 depending on relevant qualifications
• Two part time positions.
• 30hrs per fortnight: one sleepover on week1 weekend. Two day shifts, week1 Friday and week2 Wednesday.
• 38hrs per fortnight: two sleepovers on week1 Sunday and week2 Saturday. One afternoon shift on week2 Friday.

We are looking for part time Support Workers to join our Korean Culturally based facility in Orewa, where we have five Korean gentlemen living together. The gentlemen can display challenging behaviours and are very energetic and active. They like going out for activities and getting involved in the community.
As a support worker you will need to value and respect Korean culture, support them to make Korean food and to be able to communicate well with them and their families in Korean. You need to be active and support them to attend community based activities.
We are looking for resilient people, with calm natures and confidence in dealing with challenging behaviours to join this culturally based team. You will be supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs to lead safe and meaningful lives in the community. Your role will be to help them gain independence so that they can make their own choices, be part of their community, and live a fulfilling life.
