ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our business has an established successful cultural identity, due to growth we have a full time Support Worker Team Leader opportunity available in our Home Care team for Port Macquarie and Kempsey area .
As a Team Leader and a valued member of the well-respected RSL LifeCare Home Care team, you will manage and support a group of Home Care team members within the Community Care service. You will also spend a portion of your time ‘hands on’ in service provisioning for your catchment areas.
- Support clients to stay living in their home and connected to their community
- Enable clients’ social connectedness, and provide services such as domestic assistance, personal care and respite care, supporting client independence at home
- Embody a person-centred approach, recognising and promoting the individual’s unique goals and preferences
- Play an important role in the team by contributing to the assessment and care planning of each client as required
- Effectively communicate with your team, to ensure the best outcomes for each client
We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:
- A sound understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and guidelines, food safety, manual handling, safe chemical use, infection control practices, person centred and relationship-based care principles
- Knowledge of different Home Care based Programs; DVA, HCP, CHSP and others
- Highly organized, tech-savvy with strong administrative skills, financial acumen and comfortable conducting training and education
- Considerable experience working in the community aged care sector that includes assisting with medication administration and supporting clients with complex care needs
- Qualifications in individual support or related work experience are essential
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Current valid driver’s license and a licensed, comprehensively insured and road worthy motor vehicl
