Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Whio Service is located at Hōhepa’s main campus in Somerfield and is home to Christine who is in her early 50’s. Christine has a wonderful sense of humor and loves spending quality time with her Mum, Dad, and friends. Whether it’s over a steaming cup of coffee or during a cozy chat, she enjoys sharing stories about her adventures and dreams for the future.
As a single-staffed service, we are seeking compassionate individuals with essential caregiving or equivalent experience.
You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focussing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people’s ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you.
This position’s salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

Week One

  • Sunday and Monday 7am to 3pm
  • Wednesday and Thursday 3pm to 10:30pm, 10:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)

Week Two

  • Sunday and Monday 7am to 3pm
  • Tuesday 3pm to 10:30pm, 10:30pm to 7am (Sleepover)

Sleepover Hours: 25.5 / Hands on hours: 54.5
Total Hours per fortnight: 80
