Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Support Worker, you will be one of the most influential people in your clients’ life. Your role will be diverse and challenging and will involve direct care for clients in settings such as houses, schools, hospitals, community centres and emergency accommodation.

Your daily tasks can include:

  • Building a relationship with the people you are caring for.
  • Providing 24/7 around the clock care to participants, following a structured routine developed specifically for their needs
  • Administering medication
  • Transporting the people in our care to and from school, day programs, appointments, and Family Time (Supervised Contact) visits.
  • Assist in the implementation of programs designed for the development of the client
  • Report writing

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment - can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check)
  • Current NDIS Worker Check: (can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/ndiswc-apply)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID011)
  • National Police Check (this must be obtained via https://www.employmentscreeninggroup.com/au/allambi/)
  • A current driver’s licence
  • A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module (can be accessed via: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/)
  • Casual work available days nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks
  • Two professional references

  • Following the successful completion of the probationary period, you can enrol in a CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services with our partnered RTO BIAE (RTO no 45241). Once enrolled you may receive up to 8 units of credit based on the satisfactorily completion of the induction requirements and your performance during probation.
