ABOUT THE ROLE

As a registered charity, we are reliant on the generosity of our local community to enable us to continue caring for local people and their families. It is so important to us that we handle donations, record information, acknowledge support and communicate appropriately to give our supporters the best possible experience and encourage future support. Our Supporter Data team is fundamental to our success in this area.
We are looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to build and run marketing data selections for supporter communications and fundraising activities. Our Supporter Data Officer (Selections and Insight) will also help to support fundraising decision-making by manipulating complex datasets in order to identify and present insights and learnings.
It’s an exciting time to join the Fundraising team at St. Luke’s Hospice. Working in a team that truly appreciates the importance of data for fundraising, the Supporter Data Officer (Selections and Insight) will play a key role in helping the team to deliver and develop their fundraising and stewardship activities and grow income for the Hospice.

Salary: £17,053 to £20,559 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week (working pattern to be discussed at interview)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Thurrock Hospice site (with flexibility to work remotely in line with Hospice policy)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Build and run marketing data selections for supporter communications and fundraising activities, ensuring compliance with data protection and other industry regulations.
  • Ensure data input and processes on the CRM facilitates effective data selection and maintain database records to ensure responses can be recorded appropriately to support campaign response handling and reporting.
  • Produce accurate, timely and appropriate fundraising activity and income reports and dashboards.
  • Support the operation, development and review of the supporter database.
  • Support with development and maintenance of CRM training and process documentation and deliver appropriate training to colleagues.
  • Audit the database regularly to ensure data is clean, accurate and that colleagues are following procedures for data entry and management.
  • Provide support to the team’s income operations function as required.
