Job Description
Atradius is entering the UK Surety market and is actively recruiting for a Surety professional in London.
This is a truly exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead and develop an existing product into a new market. This role will be responsible for leading Surety UK. We require a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, excellent leadership skills, strong relationship management and acquisition skills. A self-starter with a vision and drive to deliver high performance is essential.
This role is responsible for setting up the UK office for surety including driving acquisition of new customers directly and via brokers as well exceeding annual targets within set budgets. In a short period of time this role will then be responsible for hitting keep milestones such as recruiting key team members and drafting key procedures.
What qualification should you have?
Surety UK underwriting experience and/or equivalent surety related business experience preferred, such as commercial/investment banking, private equity or other analytical financial industries.
Specific experience of participating in/running major financial services/insurance business lines teams or business units directly and via brokers, at a senior level. Solid experience in credit analysis.
Strong numeracy, oral and written communication (i.e report writing) skills.
Excellent leadership, visioning and relationship management skills, able to make recommendations and consistently deliver results backed up by appropriate information and data.
Ability to start up and drive acquisition of new customers working under own initiative, ensuring a clear understanding and focus ins kept to the task at hand. Professional, confident, sociable, pragmatic, trustworthy and committed. Determination to deliver the introduction and growth of Surety business in the UK market.
Experience managing a team or business units.
Qualified to at least Degree level within Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent.
Ability to travel is required for this role.
