- Facilitate communication between patients and referring physicians to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Respond to incoming telephone inquiries regarding surgery, providing accurate information and educational materials.
- Collect and analyze data for research studies to support departmental initiatives.
- Coordinate patient follow-up using Refract Tracker and EPIC, ensuring timely care and communication.
- Manage financial arrangements prior to surgery, including pre-payment collection and insurance verification.
- Ensure informed consents are signed and all necessary admission documentation is prepared for hospitals.
- Schedule pre-screening exams, diagnostic tests, and post-operative appointments to optimize patient care and workflow.
