We are committed to expand global access to care and reduce variability through robotic, laparoscopic and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning analytics-based solutions.
As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a Junior Surgical Data Annotator to join our talented R&D Innovation Team. The Annotator will play a vital role in processing surgical video sequences, to identify, highlight and annotate certain anatomical regions and objects of interest. The ideal candidate, with a strong understanding of anatomy, should come from a paramedical science or biomedical science background and be comfortable reviewing surgical videos accurately, providing high rates of consistency and exporting accompanying metadata for computer vision models. The role is available for remote work within the UK&I.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BSc or equivalent in Nursing, Anatomy, Paramedical Science or Biomedical Engineering
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in annotation or a related subject is beneficial
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under supervision
  • Basic knowledge of imaging modalities and annotation tools is advantageous
  • Highly proficient in computer software (e.g. Microsoft, Jira)
  • Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and the requirement for building models

Responsibilities:

  • Annotate videos and images for computer vision models, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Provide annotation support, including daily coverage and basic analysis as directed by guidelines and departmental protocols
  • Use defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on annotation tools and systems
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile and manipulate annotation data using established procedures
