Job Title: Sales Specialist (Surgical Devices)
Territory: Field-based sales role, ideally based in Dublin, covering the Leinster and Connacht territories.
Reports to: National Sales Manager – Surgical Division

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree level preferably in a scientific/medical or business-related discipline.
- Experience in hospital medical device sales (3 years minimum)
- Experience in Hospital Consultant sales is essential.
- Displays strong sales and commercial skill set - preparation, strong product demo and presentation skills, negotiation capability, ability to open and close commercial engagement with customer, objection handling.
- Clear outcomes and results focused
- Self start approach to managing a sales territory.
- Skilled in Business and opportunity Planning
- Strong Account and Territory Management skills required
- Full, clean driving licence.
Responsibilities:
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Due to our ongoing successes and ambitious growth plans, we are looking to recruit an additional team member to join the Surgical Sales Team.
The successful candidate will focus on supporting some existing business in the territory, whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities through introduction and support of the surgical product range.
Our portfolio offers excellent scope for growth, selling class-leading surgical products from long standing established partners, and with a strong pipeline of new products to be introduced to the Irish market, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of this exciting next phase of our growth plan.
As part of the wider Surgical team structure, the successful candidate will work closely with both our supply partners and also HCP’s providing solutions and support in hospital theatres.
The role calls for someone who can establish and develop, strong long-term relationships with our customers. Prior experience of surgical devices sales would be a major benefit as the role requires someone ideally, who through their experience is comfortable with selling to specialist surgeons, in the clinical environment.
The purpose of this role is to effectively increase sales volume and revenue within the surgical business unit year on year, whilst maintaining existing business through strong customer relationships and clinical support. This business unit makes a significant contribution to the overall company turnover, and so offers a strategically exciting position in the marketplace at this time.
Whilst sales are a key part of the role, providing engaging clinical education and industry leading customer service to HCP’s is also very important in building the business within this role.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve Sales targets across the Surgical product portfolio.
- Identify market opportunities
- Maintain existing business grow the business through existing accounts and new business generation.
- Foster excellent relations with all customers and key decision makers and present a professional image of Brennan Co.
- Provide reports, analysis, and territory planner to the Sales Manager.
- All administrative duties should be completed in a correct and timely fashion.
- Work entails daily interfacing with a variety of KOL’s within a number of hospital / community disciplines to include Consultant Surgeons, Registrars, SHO’s, all Nursing staff, and Purchasing Personnel.
