• Sign-on bonus: Up to $6,000.00
• Department: Labor & Delivery
• Schedule: Full-Time Nights, 3 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, including every 4th weekend shift
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent’s Birmingham
• Location: Birmingham, AL

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and SurgicalAssisting (NBSTSA) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures

• Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery
