Description:
KS Associates is seeking an experienced Field Surveyor/Survey Crew Chief to add to our survey team. The successful candidate would work as a Field Surveyor, aka Survey Crew Chief involved in the operation of surveying equipment (robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers and 3D Laser Scanners). Position requires individual to work independently as a one-person survey crew and team with others for tasks that require assistance. The candidate’s level of responsibility is dependent on individual knowledge of equipment and survey procedures. The following minimum qualifications are required in addition to compliance with our drug free workplace policy:
- Minimum of 2 years of previous field surveying experience or combination of experience and education in topographic and boundary surveys
- Working knowledge of survey instrument operations (Robotic Total Stations, GPS/GNSS)
- Experience with electronic survey controllers (Trimble TSC series)
- Good hand writing skills
- Good work habits including punctuality and attendance
- Good listening and speaking skills
- Able to work flexible hours when job requires
- Understanding of fundamental geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - someone who shows respect for and consideration of others
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Valid OH driver’s license with good driving record
