YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

With the support of the National Survey Team and the wider business, this is a real opportunity to forge your own pathway and drive the strategic growth of our Auckland Survey Team. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Surveying (current LCS registration preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ of relevant NZ-based survey experience with a strong technical foundation in cadastral work, topographic surveys and engineering design.
  • Proven team leadership experience, with a genuine passion for creating a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • A strategic and technology focused mindset, able to identify opportunities for growth and improvement using the latest technologies.Strong business acumen with the ability to manage the financial responsibilities of your Survey team.

Responsibilities:

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Survey Manager to lead our Auckland Survey Team into the next stage of our transformation journey. Our award-winning team of surveyors and UAV pilots use the latest 3D high-definition laser scanners and drones to accurately capture and build digital models of the real world. With 140 years of accrued mana, our survey team is among the most respected in Aotearoa New Zealand.

As our new Auckland Survey Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the Auckland Survey Team’s success by providing strategic leadership, mentoring and developing your team and contributing to our vision of being the #1 urban development partner in NZ. You will:

  • Lead a team of talented surveyors, promoting a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Provide strategic direction to implement innovative solutions to enhance our digital intelligence capabilities and market leadership.
  • Lead on a variety of large infrastructure, residential, commercial and industrial projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, balancing commercial and environmental considerations.
  • Oversee and manage the financial responsibility for the team, ensuring financial targets are met and drive initiatives to optimise profitability.
  • Leverage your industry connections to lead new and existing clients into the future with modern survey solutions.
  • Act as a hands-on technical expert, engaging in a variety of surveys including building construction, land development, topographical, tenancy, GPS, UAV, and 3D surveys, with support from our Technical Directors.
