Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE

This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne. This role will be a key position within the Asia-Pacific Sales and Business Development team, reporting to the APAC Sales Manager. The role will be responsible for managing and growing Woolpert’s Survey Discipline throughout target markets including Energy, Renewables, Climate and Environment.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Management of sales and accounts within allocated target markets;
  • Contribution to Woolpert’s overall business plan for Asia Pacific, including development of sales and account plans for Survey Discipline clients;
  • Identify leads and driving sales to support growth;
  • Apply your technical and market knowledge and existing contacts across the Survey industry to achieve revenue and earnings targets;
  • Develop new business based on existing contacts in addition to proactive and reactive lead and opportunity nurturing;
  • Work with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve project issues impacting on client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction;
  • Collaborate with Woolpert Mapping and Digital Solution Disciplines to identify cross selling opportunities; and
  • Travel to Woolpert offices, client sites and attendance/participation at local conferences, seminars and trade shows to continue to grow Woolpert’s client base and strengthen its presence in the market.

You may also be required, within your skills, qualifications, and experience, to undertake other responsibilities and perform other duties or projects from time to time as the Company may require meeting its operating needs.

To be successful in this role you will already have prior experience in a similar role together with:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in surveying, spatial sciences, geomatics, architecture, engineering, GIS or computing sciences;
  • Registered / Licensed Surveyor certification highly desirable;
  • Post graduate Business and/or Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded;
  • 10+ years technical experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry;
  • The ideal candidate would preferably have existing sales experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry. Training and mentoring can be provided to candidates who do not meet this criteria;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients;
  • Strong networking profile and recognition within the Australian Survey/Geospatial industry, with involvement or desire to participate in appropriate committees & forums;
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
