Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING | MŌ TE TŪRANGA

We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity for a Sustainability Advisor to join our team. In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Corporate Relations and work closely with the wider organisation to champion our sustainability programme. Your mission will be to educate and engage our people while implementing our sustainability strategy, with a focus on achieving environmental, social, and governance outcomes.

  • Support the identification of our key priorities and milestones in our sustainability journey, ensuring alignment with agreed organisational priorities
  • Act as the AA’s ‘go to’ person on all sustainability issues
  • Support organisational change initiatives designed to address sustainability matters, facilitating the adoption of new behaviours and ways of working
  • Provide guidance on the AA’s efforts to reduce our carbon footprint
  • Establish metrics and measurement tools to assess the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, tracking impact and uptake.

You’re passionate about making a positive difference for Aotearoa New Zealand. With a strong understanding of sustainability issues and solutions you bring valuable experience from a similar role.

  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Curious and keep up with global and NZ sustainability trends and developments
  • Have a sustainability-related degree or experience from another role
  • Capable of working collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a proactive approach
