ABOUT THE ROLE

Sustainability is one of the main priorities in our new Imperial strategy, Science for Humanity, and we have committed to lead by example in our activities and on our campuses.
We are looking for a Sustainability Engagement and Administration Coordinator to work as our lead administrator and coordinate events and other activities to engage and inform staff and students to promote awareness of sustainability initiatives and encourage participation in delivering the broader sustainability strategy. You will support the Sustainability Officer in delivering elements of our sustainability programme across Imperial’s campuses.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

  • Coordinate events and other activities to engage and inform staff, students, and where relevant, external audiences to promote awareness of sustainability initiatives and encourage participation in delivering the broader sustainability strategy across Imperial’s campuses.
  • Organising workshops, seminars, and other events regularly to engage and grow the Imperial community’s understanding of sustainability and what we can do about it.
  • Provide administrative support to organise the annual Sustainability Fortnight with a planning group across the university, supporting event set ups, event communication and post-event follow up.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sustainability Champions Network by managing regular communication, maintaining and updating a contact list, organising group and subgroup meetings, reporting, some aspects of website management and supporting bespoke events.
  • Produce web content, drafting copy for internal communications, creating blog, social media posts and produce the monthly Sustainable Imperial newsletter.
  • Providing administrative support including managing the Sustainable Imperial inbox, producing presentation material, arranging travel, room bookings and catering for meetings when needed, raise purchase orders and assist with reporting when required.
