ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Sustainability Manager Digital Technology (f/m/d) will be responsible for developing and implementing the unit’s sustainability strategy. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, other sustainability managers across the group, and the corporate sustainability team. The aim is to identify opportunities to reduce E.ON’s carbon footprint and improve sustainability performance through the use of digital technologies as well as within the unit itself.
The position will be part of the strategy function within E.ON Digital Technologies and closely linked with the strategy development and implementation process.

- Develop and implement sustainability strategy, including identifying opportunities to reduce carbon footprint and improve sustainability performance
- Work closely with the corporate sustainability team to ensure alignment with overall sustainability goals and initiatives
- Participate in regular sustainability circles to align with other sustainability managers across the group to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and drive sustainability initiatives related to digital technologies
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance related to digital technologies and within the department
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to sustainability and digital technologies
- Communicate sustainability strategy and performance to internal and external stakeholders
authentic & ambitious - Your profile
- University degree in sustainability, environmental science, or related field; alternatively, university degree in computer science or similar
- Multiple years of experience in sustainability function, sustainability consulting or similar environment; preferred with focus on sustainability in and/or through IT
- Proven track record of successfully driving and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Strong understanding of relevant sustainability frameworks and impact by and through digital technologies e.g., green coding, cloud-related emissions
- Excellent project management skills leading sustainability related initiatives across larger organisations
- Understanding of national and European legislation / regulation on sustainability especially with regard to the energy end technology industries
- Excellent ability to work in a team as well as a high degree of self-motivation and personal responsibility to navigate through a decentralized international matrix organization
- Target-oriented communication and presentation skills, especially in interaction with senior management
- Passion for sustainability as well as technology and a genuine interest in contributing to the energy transition
- Very good English skills
