As a Sustainability Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading Evac’s sustainability roadmap. You will be managing and developing Evacs sustainability agenda and support across the organization to ensure alignment with sustainability targets, enhance governance, and promote sustainability awareness. You will also secure CSRD compliance and build Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for Evac’s product portfolio.
KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Science, Environment, Chemistry, Sustainability, or another relevant field.
- Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience with a proven track record of driving sustainability initiatives in a similar senior role and creating positive impact.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and sustainability projects.
- Collaboration & Networking: Positive drive, excellent cooperation, and networking skills to foster collaboration across business lines.
- Data Analysis & Communication: Strong analytical skills with an ability to compile complex data, making it clear and understandable for the organization with an ability to create insights in an effective manger.
- Experience with Ratings & Standards: Familiarity with environmental reporting and sustainability ratings such as EcoVadis, SBTi, and CSRD.
Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Roadmap & Governance: Develop and lead Evac’s sustainability roadmap, building cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives through effective governance.
- ESG Impact & SBTs: Collaborate with various functions to drive Evac’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impact and develop Science-Based Targets (SBTs) to measure and communicate progress.
- ESG Coordination: Contribute to Evac’s sustainability strategy work as a key sustainability expert. Lead and coordinate ESG development initiatives, including the CSRD framework and Double Materiality Analysis.
- LCA Development: Work closely with Evac’s business lines to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to further enhance sustainable offerings and customer value.
- Customer Engagement: Collect and analyse customer requirements related to sustainability, working closely with marketing to create communication and sales materials.
- Sustainability Ratings: Drive performance in key sustainability ratings, including managing the annual EcoVadis sustainability rating process.
- Audit Management: Manage customer inquiries, external ESG audits, and the follow-up of corrective or improvement actions.
- Community Involvement: Take ownership of and further develop Evac’s community involvement program to strengthen our sustainability efforts.
- Training & Awareness: Build awareness and conduct sustainability training sessions across the organization to enhance knowledge and engagement.
- Reporting & Communication: Contribute to sustainability reporting and development and communication efforts to highlight Evac’s progress and impact. Manage and execute sustainability reporting and support communications and marketing team in sustainability communication.
