Description:

Who we are looking for:
Finance are recruiting for a Financial Controller to support the design implementation and ongoing leadership in the area of sustainability with a particular focus on mandatory sustainability disclosures and reporting.
The individual will be required to partner with multiple groups to ensure the successful delivery of this important regulatory reporting requirement.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Support the design and implementation of the reporting framework for CSRD
  • Pro-actively drive the sustainability reporting and disclosure implementation for CSRD legislation applying to our European bank
  • Ongoing responsibility for reporting and disclosure requirements related to sustainability and CSRD
  • Actively participate in the leadership of the programme to build a sustainable model capable of expansion to cover further locations in the future
  • Collaborate with multiple contributors providing leadership and guidance on reporting standards and requirements
  • Work in partnership with the corporate sustainability team
  • Design and implement best in class controls and data validation to ensure accuracy of inputs
  • Play an important role across the broader State Street organization and work closely with Sustainability leads in preparation of the expansion of CSRD requirements to other regions
  • Partner with IT and data delivery teams, to ensure the sustainability architecture is appropriately designed to enable required disclosure reporting
  • Monitor and support implementation of sustainability policies as they develop, becoming a ‘Thought Leader’ within the Finance group for mandatory non-financial sustainability disclosures
  • Maintain high quality documentation in line with corporate requirements and to an ‘auditable’ standards
  • Present sustainability updates at team meetings, working groups, steering committees as required
  • Be a leading force in the design, implementation and future development across the group of sustainability, CSRD and ISSB reporting
  • Partner with our group auditors to ensure timely completion of annual assurance audits.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business or Legal.
  • An experienced, proactive, controls focused and results oriented individual to join our Finance sustainability reporting team and help lead and support delivery of our Environmental, Social, and Governance disclosure reporting requirements.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in Financial Control, Bank reporting, or Audit;
  • Project Management Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of sustainability regulations preferred.
