We are now looking for a
Sustainability Reporting Specialist / ESG Controller
to join our Group Consolidation and Internal Control Development team in Group Finance.
As a Sustainability Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for developing an effective and standardized Group level reporting process aligned with CSRD. In Posti this means European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and EU Taxonomy for the reporting year 2025 published first time in early 2026.
Posti’s sustainability work has been globally recognized and we want to continue as a sustainability frontrunner towards integrated reporting. At the CSRD project, we have already done scoping, planning and gap analysis phase and are continuing to capacity building. In addition to Finance community, you will work closely with our Sustainability team, who are leading the sustainability management and are acting as content specialists.
After the implementation phase, your role is more linked to ESG and EU Taxonomy controlling tasks at Posti Group level. The tasks of ESG Controller will include further development and automation of the reporting process, analysis and validation of collected and consolidated data, and possible implementation of future reporting solution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive our CSRD roadmap forward together with the organization and project team
  • Coordinate needed interpretations and Group wide reporting instructions
  • Implement a robust ESRS and EU Taxonomy reporting process that aligns with industry standards and best practices
  • Support organization in BGs and functions in creating processes and controls for reporting to have the ownership of data collection and validation
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of reporting and take corrective actions as necessary with the internal stakeholders
  • Act as the key contact for assurance in the first round
  • Take part in developing and implementing automated reporting solutions to streamline the reporting process in the future
  • Follow changes in sustainability reporting e.g., sector specific standards and changes in technical criteria

To develop finance type processes and data flow to ESG and EU Taxonomy reporting you will be closely collaborating with different teams across our organization, such as business, sourcing, real estate, HR, legal, data and ICT. Project management and change management capabilities are needed to drive positive change. We will ensure that you will grow and learn in this position.

We hope that you have:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant field e.g., finance, controlling, auditing consulting, project management, sustainability
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field
  • Knowledge or interest to learn more of sustainability regulation and other reporting frameworks (such as CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GRI, TCFD, SASB, IFRS, ESEF, Pillar Two etc.)
  • Good project management skills and the ability to proactively build networks with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Development minded set of thinking and ability to make change happen across the organization
  • Can-do attitude and practical hands-on working style
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Other languages such as Finnish and/or Swedish are appreciated.
