2. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES:

Skills:

• Team player, fast learner, attention to detail and social skills.
• Results/business orientation. Proactivity to get things done. Comfortable working with different deadlines at the same time.
• Enjoys thinking big.
• Solid understanding of banking products, loans, bonds, etc…
• Experience in interacting with internal departments involved in the functions described above: risk, lending, transactional banking, global markets, legal, compliance, etc. and the ability to coordinate people from those different teams.
• Solid understanding of ESG trends, concepts, regulation, ratings or taxonomies.
• Ability to develop a strategic dialogue with clients on decarbonization technologies and green industry verticals, including Traditional Clean Power (wind, solar, biomass, CSP), Clean Tech (H2, CCUS, Biofuels, LDES, etc.), EV & Charging Stations, Transmission & Distribution,, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Solutions (waste management, water, circular economy solutions).
• Ability to develop a strategic dialogue and provide advisory and specific financial solutions to accelerate clients’ decarbonization journeys in mainstream sectors.
• Strategic thinking to develop a differential value proposition, including advisory and financial solutions for the client segments described above.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics; or engineering, law or similar grade.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in banking. Experience in sustainable finance is an advantage.
• Preference: MBA

With respect to this position in our Houston Office, the expected base salary ranges from $150,000 to $200,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
