Description:

BloombergNEF (BNEF) is a strategic research provider covering global commodity markets and the disruptive technologies driving the transition to a low-carbon economy. We help our clients gain a clear perspective on the trends in technology, finance, policy and economics that are driving transformation across the energy value chain. Our expert coverage assesses pathways for the power, transport, industry, buildings and agriculture sectors to adapt to the energy transition. We help commodity trading, corporate strategy, finance and policy professionals navigate change and generate opportunities. BNEF has 250 staff based in 19 offices across the globe.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join BNEF’s Food and Agriculture team in our London office. The role will initially begin on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension to longer term employment.
You have a genuine passion for the transition to a more sustainable food and agriculture system and yearn to be at the forefront of this exciting space. You are an analytical problem solver that enjoys developing expertise on a topic, naturally forms original opinions, and enjoys communicating these to your audience via robust, defendable and well-structured analysis. You have strong quantitative analysis skills along with an interest in writing, presenting and solving problems on complex subjects.
Working in our Food, Agriculture and Nature team, you will play a leading role contributing to a large project we will conduct in collaboration with a key multilateral institution. You will help to research, scope and define a methodology for the project, drawing upon the best available science. You will then play a leading role completing the project by conducting primary research, assembling data and analyzing the trends you find in the market. You will also help to write a flagship report, deliver presentations and produce data-driven tools to communicate our findings. Your work will play a key role in catalyzing the investment that is required to drive the transition to a more sustainable food and agriculture system.
