As the Sustainable Sourcing & Strategic Alliances Lead, you will support our Sustainable Sourcing and Supplier Diversity programs, including direct and indirect supply chain categories that support these initiatives. Much of the focus will be working across the organization to understand our client’s needs in these two areas, continue the development of the existing strategies in these areas, and build and deliver on a roadmap of projects that leads to a differentiated program offering to our clients.

A Day in the Life

  • Manage, support, monitor and pursue tactical and strategic initiatives/projects in areas such as supplier management for assigned commodity categories that support our sustainable products, primarily EV charging networks and other assigned. Activities include executing successful supplier negotiations, conducting RFP/RFIs, collaboratively working across the organization to clearly understand requirements, and negotiation to influence supply capabilities and SLA, gross/net pricing, efficiency, and effectiveness, ultimately resulting in an executed regional or global contract
  • Support Element’s sustainable sourcing program, in conjunction with Director, which includes ongoing development of capabilities, identification, justification, and management of programs to support sustainable sourcing activities in Element’s direct supply chain.
  • Support Element’s sustainable supplier diversity program, in conjunction with Director, including ongoing expansion of reporting capabilities, expansion of direct and indirect supply chain including leading and setting goals for other sourcing and product leaders, negotiating new contracts and/or partnerships which can expand Element’s ability to serve our client’s needs.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and present our offerings showcasing and recommending our differentiated capabilities from the rest of the market on Element Supplier diversity program.
  • Support Supply chain governance, ensuring the team and suppliers are adhering to the policy, vendor code of conduct, third party risk management and other supplier terms
  • Prepares analytical reports, forecasts and supplier/customer dashboards as required to monitor the commodities, suppliers, and/or strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business (or related); graduate degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of sourcing management within a technology, service provider, and/or finance category
  • Experience with Sustainable Sourcing and/or Supplier Diversity Programs is preferred
  • Experience with Electric Vehicle Charging, Hardware, Infrastructure and Energy Management an asset
  • Candidate must be able to travel up to 10% across North America
