General Summary :
Reporting to the president and the provost of AdventHealth University (AHU), the SVP Nursing Education & Clinical Practice Integration will support the nursing, clinical, and academic strategies across AdventHealth. The role will serve in the design of the professional practice of nursing and the strategic plan of business. The role will foster relationships with partners internally and externally; and work with a supportive administration to sustain a dynamic school well-poised and proven to lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to leadership and vision with a focus on growing the academic-clinical partnership mindset across AdventHealth. The position is primarily administrative in nature, although the successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach each semester in leadership.
This role has oversight of the AHU Dean of Nursing in leading the strategic vision of nursing. The focus of the role is to strategically analyze and implement key initiatives that contribute to, coordinate, and execute on the strategic plan.
The role is a dyad leadership role which has direct oversight for strategy and integration outside of AHU to include the AdventHealth Central Florida Division clinical education and learning technologies simulation teams. This includes strategic planning of the design of comprehensive programs for simulation, training, education, and exercises. The role leads the division nursing learning strategy to include the development and execution of programming for training, onboarding and career development for nursing and nursing support roles at all levels.
The role will serve as AdventHealth strategic nursing advisor to the AdventHealth Florida Executive Cabinet on issues related to nursing practice with items such as position statements, white papers, and opinion pieces on topics related to strategic workforce planning, nursing practice and nursing development. The role will have a dotted line to the President of the AdventHealth Florida Division.
This individual brings and in-depth knowledge of nursing operations from a clinical, quality, practice, and emerging models of care perspective. This leader will be a senior AHU leader who partners with the health system executive nursing leaders across the organization to assess operations effectiveness, identify opportunities for redesign and optimization of processes, human talent, and technology.
P rincipal Duties and Job Responsibilities :

The executive will play a key role in raising the visibility, increasing the reputation of AHU, and creating integration points with AdventHealth. Moreover, the successful candidate is responsible for providing leadership and vision with a focus on growing an entrepreneurial mindset across campuses at both Florida and Colorado locations.
