MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years as a senior sales leader in the produce industry.
  • Must have a record of solid business accomplishments as a sales leader.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 60% of the time
  • Valid Driver’s License

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong organization & prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A results-oriented mindset focused on driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA preferred with 10-15 years sales experience
  • 15 + years of experience in the Produce Industry
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in a food business of similar size (> $350MM US Sales is highly desirable)

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing will lead and develop strategies to maximize sales and enhance marketing initiatives to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities will include directing, administering, and coordinating all sales and marketing activities in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. Contribute to strategic planning and revenue plan development, oversee sales volume forecasting, and manage customer relations to ensure effective communication and coordination. Involvement in the Executive Team will also be instrumental in the development and execution of tactical and strategic plans, making this position an exciting opportunity for seasoned professionals in the produce industry.

  • Direct, administer, and coordinate all sales and marketing activities through the company’s policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Contribute to the company’s strategic planning process and develop the annual revenue plan.
  • Present and gain approval for the company’s revenue plan.
  • Oversee the forecasting of sales volume and revenue by SKU.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities for new customers.
  • Direct a go-to-market plan that balances the needs of customers and the company’s delivery resources.
  • Ensure the presentation of the company’s product portfolio is maximized at retail.
  • Lead annual customer planning process and monthly performance management protocols.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing coaching and support to drive individual and team success.
  • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and make informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including operations, finance, and logistics, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and achieve organizational goals.
  • Maintain and develop a strong network of relationships within the produce industry.
  • Manage and participate in trade shows and events to promote the company’s products and capabilities.
  • Lead and execute comprehensive marketing plans, including innovative campaign concepts to support sales and revenue objectives.
  • Lead the marketing team to develop product position and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Organize, conduct, and manage sales & marketing meetings to communicate performance and metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
