SW Architect

We are now looking for a talented and experienced SW Architect to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing MantaRay NM configuration management solution to support Nokia’s 5G and core networks.
You will work in Network Management R&D unit which is responsible for design, implementation, testing and maintenance of configuration management features of Nokia’s network management system product MantaRay NM. You work closely with our system architecture and product management to ensure that technical architecture solution and detailed feature specifications meet business, operational, technical, and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders. You also guide and support our development teams to implement new features, keep our product maintainable and hold SW craftmanship high in our organization.

Key responsibilities are:

• Architecture design and specifications of configuration management features to meet the customer, security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
• Proof-of-concepts (PoCs) during the feasibility study and specification phases
• Subject matter expertise of selected areas within configuration management components
• Supporting development teams to implement features you have specified as needed
• Coaching and training development teams for sustainable SW development and testing
• Supporting teams in troubleshooting of customer cases and identified faults in our deliveries
• Identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization in our product, keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies

You have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing, architecting, and implementing software solutions
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go lang, Java, Javascript or C++
• Experience in micro-service architecture
• Hands-on experience with working in Linux, Git environment, containers like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Hands-on experience on what it means to create testable code and implement test automation for example using Robot Framework
• Understanding what SW craftmanship and maintainable code means for large product development organizations
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with various technical and non-technical stakeholders and colleagues

It would be nice if you also had:

• Knowledge of 5G network architecture and protocols
• Basic understanding of Continuous integration principles and tools
