JOB DESCRIPTION:

Unique opportunity for an experienced Sweater Technical Designer to work in a creative environment and grow with the design team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of technical design experience within the apparel industry.
  • Strong knowledge in sweater construction, finishing required.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Highly organized
  • Leverages strong understanding of garment engineering, apparel factory operations.
  • Models ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Proven ability to independently, consistently and appropriately manage risk at all stages of product development.
  • Ability to manage and follow through on a task from start to finish within a specified timeline without supervision.
  • A trained eye for basic design aesthetic details.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Illustrator

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Sweater design team to understand the design concept/ vision. Help set-up & release tech packs with development specs based on design references.
  • Manage with proto fittings when needed and help relay fit comments to factories.
  • Manage tech packs throughout the development process through pass-off to production
  • Help with technical follow up through production.
  • Daily communication with teams and overseas factories
