Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Tier 2/3 escalation for internal users seeking technical assistance, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor and manage network performance, ensuring stability and security. Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and address recurring issues or potential improvements.
  • Regularly assess system performance and identify areas for improvement. Optimize system resources to ensure efficient operation.
  • Lead system updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software support. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures. Prepare and present reports on system performance and incidents.
  • Adhere to IT security policies and practices to safeguard organizational data and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a System Administration or related role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, software, and networking.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Good understanding of Azure, M365 administration, networking, and server management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar credentials
  • Ability to script or automate tasks using languages such as PowerShell or Python.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers, experience with virtual environments and cloud services (e.g., VMware, Azure).
  • Experience with IT project management or experience in leading technical projects.
  • Note this role may require occasional after-hours work for system maintenance or emergency response.
  • We would prefer to have a candidate who can be in Richmond, but are open to remote talent as well.

Based on experience this role will pay between $70,000 - $ 98,000. Thank you for your interest in Natures Path!
