Description:
We are Tekton Labs, a technology consulting and software development company, founded in Silicon Valley and with offices in Peru, Mexico and the United States. We have 15 years of experience designing and developing innovative solutions to help companies (and especially people!) achieve their goals. As we grow, the challenges increase.
To do this, we seeking to integrate a Senior System Administrator into our team.
We need an experienced Systems Administrator to handle advanced infrastructure management, ensure business continuity, and lead critical IT projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Availability to participate in on-call rotations and occasional travel as required.
SKILLS
- Proficiency in backup and restore procedures for system data protection.
- Knowledge of network technologies, LAN setup, firewalls, Portmatrix, and implementation concepts.
- Experience with patching, updating, upgrading, and managing software cadences.
- Expertise in software configuration management and version control systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms and features, including high availability and load balancing.
- Understanding of network control and management systems.
- Experience in software integration and build processes.
- Programming Skills
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring uninterrupted operation and optimal performance of complex network control systems.
- Performing system maintenance and preventive tasks to ensure system reliability and security.
- Applying updates, upgrades, and patches to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
- Analyzing system faults, identifying root causes, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Documenting project details and customer requirements for effective communication and future reference.
- Providing consultation, support, and technical concepts to internal teams and external clients.
- Developing and implementing IT infrastructure concepts to support our systems.
- Conducting tests to verify system functionality and performance.
