Job Description
Ubisoft IT is looking for a System Administrator to join the Command Center team. This team’s main mission is to monitor all of Ubisoft IT’s infrastructure which includes but is not limited to online games and corporate services.
As a System administrator joining this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance by monitoring our entire infrastructure, managing alerts and incidents via troubleshooting methods, and resolving and escalating them. You will also be responsible for internal communications on unplanned downtime and degradation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server platforms;
  • Experience in networking configurations such as Firewalls and DNS;
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as but not limited to Grafana and Prometheus;
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as but not limited to ServiceNow and Atlassian Suite;
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability, and service quality, while identifying and applying corrective measures to prevent any type of service degradation or outage;
  • Initiate the incident management process in cases where an incident cannot be prevented while communicating internally the impacts related to any incident or maintenance;
  • Manage the major incident process while coordinating and facilitating high-priority incident resolution by engaging a variety of support teams;
  • Perform a thorough technical analysis of any incident on Microsoft, Linux, network infrastructure, and in-house systems;
  • Escalate and coordinate with other teams and departments to resolve incidents;
  • Respond, prioritize, and resolve any incident tickets and determine the exact impacts of an incident from the user’s standpoint;
  • Identify service restoration automation opportunities and apply automated responses via scripted methods.
