Description:
Utilize your Development Expertise and Systems Knowledge
On our Information Technology Team
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a System Analyst who will be responsible for understanding, interpreting, and actioning system requirements from various sources to support strategic decision-making and operational initiatives. As part of our Enterprise Architecture team, you will work closely with other cross-functional departments including IT, Finance and Operations, collaborating with business stakeholders to provide effective system solutions and recommendations. As a System Analyst you will be accountable for comprehending system needs, designing and developing system workflows, and conducting comprehensive system analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancement.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Examining and evaluating current and prospective systems in collaboration with others in the IT department with the goal of optimizing solutions to meet the organization’s needs.
Identifying system requirements and partnering with users to track additional requirements and features. Validating changes through testing.
Documenting interfaces between new and legacy systems.
Working collaboratively with business stakeholders including developers and business analysts.
Collaborating with third party product experts and performing technical due diligence processes on the target products or vendors.
Providing walkthroughs and guidance to users, while championing new operation systems in addition to providing support to users as required.
Staying current in technology trends, vendor products, and new industry technologies.
Who You Are:
A post-secondary graduate preferably in information systems, information technology, computer science, or related field.
Experienced in working with business information systems with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Systems Analyst role.
Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SharePoint and experienced with Power BI and dashboarding. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM considered an asset.
Skilled in software development and documentation. Familiarity with programming languages is required.
Highly organized and able to manage projects and timelines within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work efficiently and effectively as a team member, as well as independently.
An excellent communicator with the ability to convey ideas succinctly and conveying complex findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders with ease.
A self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically about solutions.
