Description:
Are you ready to be at the forefront of shaping the energy infrastructure for the future?
Our society is undergoing a significant green industrial revolution. To keep pace with the rate of electrification and renewable energy expansion we need to be installing 10 MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) every other week until 2030. Multiply that figure by 10 when considering wider Europe.
At Stella Futura, we aim to address these challenges and ensure the energy supply for the future. We achieve this by designing, owning, and operating BESS facilities across the Nordics. Rooted in engineering expertise, focusing on financial innovation and flexible commercial solutions, we pioneer new modern energy infrastructure across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop key data analytics systems for BESS based on requirements and queries from various stakeholders.
- Gather, manage and analyse BESS data establishing (automated) methods to extract and act on insights.
- Conduct simulations and analyses focusing on BESS operations and services to optimise resource use and performance.
- Analyse specifications and technical data to ensure compliance with energy market regulations both present and upcoming.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and results to stakeholders, summarising findings and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Provide data-driven guidance to project development teams as well as active contribution to energy market analysis.
- Identify potential areas of improvement and innovation in battery systems operation and value stacking.
Who we’re weeking:
- Relevant education in engineering, computer/data science, mathematics or a related field with a focus on energy systems.
- Over 4 years of professional experience in energy trading, energy system analysis, battery system analytics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in implementing practical methods, including techno-economic and profitability analyses and results evaluations.
- Technical understanding and a keen interest in energy issues, energy markets and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in evaluation tools, software and programming languages, such as MATLAB Simulink, R and Python.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is of merit.
To succeed in this role:
We’re looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively carry out multifaceted projects. Your strategic mindset, coupled with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, will be key to driving project success. We value qualities like curiosity, adaptability, accountability, decisiveness, and a commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. As a member of our team, we expect you to take initiative in driving both your own professional growth and the development of our company.
