Job Description
Job Title: Systems Architect - Linux, Endpoint, Intune
Duration: 6-8 Weeks (Potential for Long-Term Extension)
Location: Remote

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a Systems Architect or similar role focusing on Linux and endpoint management.
• Expertise in Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune, including device compliance policies, application management, and security baselines.
• Hands-on experience with integrating Linux devices into Microsoft environments (Azure AD, MDM, MAM).
• Knowledge of industry standards (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and best practices for endpoint security.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and reports.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or other endpoint security solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within tight deadlines.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect who is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Linux, Endpoint Management, and Microsoft Intune for a 6-8 week assessment project. This engagement will focus on evaluating and enhancing our client’s IT infrastructure with the potential to extend into a long-term role upon successful completion and client approval.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing Linux-based endpoints and management frameworks.
• Design & Architecture: Develop a scalable and secure architecture for Linux endpoint management integrated with Microsoft Intune.
• Integration: Plan and execute integration strategies for managing Linux devices via Microsoft Intune, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Security Compliance: Implement robust security protocols and compliance policies, including Zero Trust architecture and endpoint protection solutions.
• Documentation: Produce detailed architecture diagrams, SOPs, and assessment reports for client review and future planning.
