System Design Specialist

Watchtower Security, an expanding organization, is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a System Design and Solutions Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive presale visuals, maps, and corresponding budgets for our cutting-edge surveillance systems. Collaborating closely with internal teams, including Sales, Project Management, and Service. The System Design & Solutions Specialist will ensure the seamless implementation of our technology solutions within the multifamily industry.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in system design principles, technical concepts, and networking fundamentals preferred.
• Certifications with camera and wireless network providers such as Axis, Ubiquiti, Cambium, etc., preferred.
• CAD and blueprint experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess project requirements, evaluate design options, identify potential issues, and propose optimal solutions.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude with a strong understanding of networking concepts, IP-based systems, and surveillance technologies, including routers, switches, radios, camera specifications, and system integration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software such as Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PDF.
• Adaptive and collaborative team player, dedicated to contributing to team success in dynamic environments.
• Proficient in customer-focused communication, capable of engaging in technical discussions with clients to develop effective system design solutions.
