REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a US or Australian citizen
- Must Possess an active US Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have 7 years of related experience supporting large systems and sub-systems.
- Proven experience in designing and architecting complex systems, preferably in mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, architecture frameworks, and lifecycle management.
- Expertise in system integration, interface design, and technology selection.
- Ability to balance technical, operational, and strategic requirements in system design.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in system architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ISO/IEC standards).
- Experience with modeling tools (e.g., SysML, UML) and architectural design tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex system challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

Responsibilities:
In the role of Systems Engineer: Architecting, your duties will include:
- Develop and design high-level system architectures that meet project goals, requirements, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, system requirements, and operational goals.
- Create and document system architectures, design specifications, and implementation strategies.
- Ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to changing operational needs.
- Analyze and address system constraints, performance trade-offs, and security considerations in the architecture.
- Lead the integration of subsystems and technologies to create a unified system architecture.
- Define system interfaces and ensure the interoperability of components within the architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement and validate system architectures during development and deployment.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in the architecture.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams throughout the architecture development process.
