By joining RHI Magnesita, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the steel manufacturing process, thanks to the most innovative and newest technologies. Our Connected Ecosystems team is looking for a System Engineer Industrial IT, an ’allrounder’ to develop robust condition monitoring systems, emphasizing efficient data collection, analysis, and secure data exchange. In this role you will use automated image analysis and machine learning to enhance predictive maintenance solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of these systems, you will create innovative concepts for on-site data acquisition systems at customer sites. You will visit various RHI Magnesita and customer sites (approx. 20% of the working time).

EDUCATION & SKILLS

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering / computer science (or related work experience)
• Proficiency in software development, for example with Python or C#
• Experience with container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment technologies
• Knowledge of PLC programming (SIMATIC-S7, Siemens TIA) will be considered a strong advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE

• A few years professional experience in software development
• Knowledge and understanding of automation systems

IN ADDITION, YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE

• Closely collaborating with the respective product teams to define, develop and monitor our IIot (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions
• Contributing to the creation of comprehensive operating manuals
• Conducting thorough testing and commissioning, both in-house and at customer sites worldwide
