- Collaborating with Product Managers and software architects, elaborating and documenting system specifications from product requirements.
- Collaboratin with the Integrated Solutions Design Manager to support business priorities.
- Collaborating with System Integrators to identify products risks and mitigation plan.
- Reviewing the System Integration test plans.
- Collaborating with the Project Manager to build and maintain the project plan.
- Actively contributing to the architecture, design, coding, testing and documentations of the products.
- Contributing to the public risk assessment or any other documents required that are pertaining to system engineering.
- Defining the EPICs and maintain own specific tasks under the configuration tool (Jira, Polarion)
What you will bring along
Minimum Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering
Minimum Years of Experience Required
- 15 years of experience in engineering product development and delivery to customers.
- 10 years of experience in embedded software development.
- 5 years as a product owner, system engineer, system integrator, or equivalent.
- 5 years working on mobile and/or portable IoT devices in either the mining, automotive, automation or warehouse sectors.
Type of experience Required
- Experience in system engineering.
- Experience in some of the following areas: Embedded firmware development, Wireless technologies (LTE, BLE, WIFI), Internet of Things (IoT) Devices, Unit testing frameworks, Microcontrollers (MSP430, STM32, Nordic (nrf528xx)), Embedded Linux (ARM), Vehicle communication bus (CAN), Universal Serial Bus (USB)
- Experience in one of the following industries: mining, automotive, avionics or medical.
Technical Skills/Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of SysML, UML, FHA, FMEA, SSA.
- Knowledge of some industry standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 15288 or equivalent).
- Programming languages: C++, OOP, Python and design patterns.
- Knowledge of real-time embedded systems and resources usage.
- Knowledge of wireless systems: BLE, WiFi, LTE, RF, etc.
- Operating systems: FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux (Ubuntu)
- Knowledge of documentation management tools (e.g. Polarion, Confluence, SharePoint, DOORS, etc.).
- Knowledge of work item tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Polarion, MKS, etc.).
- Excellent English/French oral and writing skills.
- Asset: Go, C#, JavaScript.
- Asset: Time of Flight Technology (CSS, UWB), radio communication protocol (VHF, UHF) and NFC technology.
- Asset: Knowledge of Linux distribution tool, e.g. Yocto or Zephyr.
