Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly engaged System Manager to oversee and optimize our finance systems, with an initial focus on Quantum, and additional responsibilities for Business Central and Cognos Controller. You will be part of the Tech organization, reporting to the IT Operations Manager for system management within the Change & System Management department.
As the System Manager, your primary responsibility will be managing Quantum, where you will operate on both an operational and tactical level, while also supporting the system owner at a strategic level. As you establish and optimize Quantum, your role will gradually expand to include Business Central and Cognos Controller.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will play a critical role in Nordnet’s cloud journey. We are transitioning from on-premise systems to cloud-based solutions, and you will be at the forefront of this transformation. Your expertise will be vital as we move our finance systems to the cloud, ensuring a seamless and secure migration process.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with stakeholders across various departments at Nordnet, including product owners, business analysts, engineers, and operational teams.
On a daily basis, you will manage system operations, including development, user management, support, and maintenance, acting as the primary contact internally and with our third-party suppliers. You will also contribute to the department’s overall goals, such as increasing scalability at Nordnet and reducing costs. The time you spend between system management and other projects will vary depending on the system roadmap, your interests, and your personal development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Management: Initially focus on enhanced management of Quantum, with a gradual expansion of responsibility including Business Central and Cognos Controller.
- Cloud Transition: Lead and support the migration of our finance systems from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage communications and relations with the Technical System Manager, internal stakeholders, and external parties.
- Incident Resolution: Address and resolve system incidents and problems.
- Access Control: Manage access, controls, and audits for the systems.
- Risk Management: Ensure correct risk management and regulatory compliance across systems.
- System Maintenance: Plan and manage system maintenance, including coordinating development, testing, and changes both internally and with vendors.
- Strategic Contribution: Support the system owner in strategic initiatives and contribute to the overall department goals.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Ability to work independently and lead your own initiatives.
- Deep and broad knowledge of treasury and finance processes.
- Extensive experience with Quantum, Business Central, Cognos Controller, or similar systems.
- Strong technical interest, including prior skills with SQL and/or T-SQL.
Join us at Nordnet, where your contributions will be pivotal in building the financial systems of the future and leading our cloud transformation.
