The Digital & Process Performance (DPP) function is organized into key teams to drive transformation effectively. Processes & Applications focuses on modernizing core business processes, while Data & Analytics enables data-driven decision-making. IT Operations ensures reliable and secure IT infrastructure, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) drives Huhtamaki wide business transformation initiatives with strategic goals.
We are now looking for a System Operational Specialist to join our Network Services team. This role reports to Senior Manager, Network Services and is located in our HQ, Espoo Finland.
The System Operational Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure and be familiar with other public cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and IBM Cloud. Additional expertise in VMware, local server environments, and networking will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and architect scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Evaluate and integrate other public cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud and IBM Cloud as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop cloud strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure, including security, compliance, and cost management.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, availability, and scalability.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Assist with local server and VMware environments as required.
• Leverage networking skills to ensure robust and secure cloud connectivity.

Requirements for role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are seen as a plus.
• Proven experience as a System Operational Specialist with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with other public cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud and IBM Cloud.
• Experience with VMware and local server environments.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with network design and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, IBM Certified Solution Architect, VMware Certified Professional, etc., are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git).
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Microsoft Fabric platform knowledge is advantage.
