QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP®) certification through the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)² (required).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise security solutions.
• Proven experience with security best practices for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong understanding of security principles, including access control, data encryption, and network security.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred – holding a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification

• Implement and maintain enterprise security measures for SharePoint On-Premises, SharePoint Online (SPO), and CAPMS, ensuring compliance with CMS security policies and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Configure and manage security protocols for user access control, data encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends, and implement appropriate security solutions to address them.
• Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Collaborate with SharePoint Administrators and System Administrators to ensure security considerations are integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
• Provide security awareness training to SharePoint users and CAPMS users.
• Maintain detailed security documentation, including security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
• Oversee day-to-day compliance and risk management activities to protect the security and privacy of CMS information and systems.
• This includes ensuring controls are in place to meet the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and CMS Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
