Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, your skills in calculation and analysis will be called upon to support the Landing Gear integration team (structure and systems) for one of our partners.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to assist in the design of the Landing Gear system and the ability to integrate their hydraulic, electric and electronics systems.
Canadian Citizenship is a requirement for this role
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of Solid Mechanics and Fatigue.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in stress analysis of Landing Gear
- Ability to perform classical strength and fatigue analyses.
- Proficient with Finite Element Modeling and Analysis.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of structural engineering.
- Knowledge and experience with CAR/FAR/CS 25 specifications are required.
- Proficient with software such as Mathcad, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, and ABAQUS.
- Experience with CATIA V5
- University degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Canadian citizen is required (no exceptions)
Responsibilities:
- Developing global load models.
- Generating internal loads for analysis.
- Development of fatigue spectra.
- Performing classical strength and fatigue analysis.
- Complete high-quality checks of other stress analysts.
- Crafting and analyzing validated finite element models
- Execute trade studies to identify the optimum design solution.
- Sign-off of corresponding drawings/model-based definition
- Certification analysis report. Preparation and checking
- Ensure that lessons learned are applied to new designs
- Ensure that a common analysis approach is followed using harmonized company standards
