The Systems Accountant role aims to foster a progressive Finance & Advice community by actively supporting team and business priorities with purposeful drive. This involves collaborating extensively across teams and cultivating strong customer relationships to tailor solutions that meet individual needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Business Degree - Desired
  • Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) – Desired
  • Experience in delivering high quality results within short timeframes
  • Experience in Financial systems administration, specifically ARCS and NXG preferred.
  • Extensive experience in accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Technical Expertise - Functional Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) and Trintech Accurate Reconciliation (NXG) knowledge with the ability to apply accounting skills in a practical manner to achieve problem identification / resolution.
  • Understanding of financial systems, data integrations and ERP Systems (Oracle EBS, Fusion).
  • Familiarity with SQL would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • System Management & Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day management of ARCS and NXG, including batch processing, certifications, and resolution of system or interface failures. Prioritise and coordinate system updates, maintenance, and incident management with IT teams.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data within ARCS and NXG, manage data governance activities using Collibra, and generate detailed reports to meet business and audit requirements.
  • End-User Support & Training: Act as the primary contact for end-user support, troubleshooting technical queries, managing team mailboxes and ServiceNow queues, and delivering tailored training sessions for new users.
  • Reconciliation & Process Improvement: Collaborate with Finance users and Product System teams to define and implement new reconciliation requirements, streamline processes, and ensure that system changes align with business needs.
  • Governance & Compliance: Establish governance controls, including disaster recovery testing, coordinate user access management and audits, and ensure all activities adhere to regulatory requirements, risk frameworks, and company policies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to support projects impacting ARCS and NXG tools. Provide timely updates on system outages, year-end arrangements, and batch status while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
